yes, finally another bike related thread.
at this point in my life, bikes are my #1 Passion - I have three bikes (a comutter, a full suspension trail bike and a fattie for the winter).
I try and bike to work 3 to 4 x per week and soon at it is dry outside. Plus I ride my trail bike on the weekends whenever possible. the only other person in my family that will ride is my wife - my kids have no interest in it and I have given up on trying to get them to ride (it is my one massive failure as a parent).

I tried to get my nephew into track cycling or the Cycling Development Program at the Canadian Sport Institute. No dice. He is more interested in golf (because his father is a golfer).
My bikes:
- road bike
- SS cyclocross
- SS MTB
The road bike sees most of the action and I use it to commute about 3x/week.
I haven't been on a highway in ages and I don't plan on it any time soon. I'll use city roads to commute and I rarely have issues with motorists. Quite frankly, the pathways I have to use as part of the commute are in terrible condition so I prefer to use the road.
I haven't used the cycle tracks and I don't need to as part of my commute.

I bought a bike last summer and commute to work/daycare about 3x week in the spring/summer/fall. I'm not a winter cyclist. I use the cycle tracks and love them, especially when I'm pulling the bike trailer.

Rode my bike to and from work for the first time this year on Monday. On my way home the girl right in front of me got smoked by a car who turned left across the bike lane into the Macs at 11th & 5th. She was mostly ok but it was terrifying.
Lessons learned for both sides.
Drivers: You need to check wayyy over your shoulder and wayyyy far forwards before crossing a bike lane because some of these bikes are flying. Also, take the time to learn the rules of the road around bike lanes. And yes get off your phones.
Bikers: Yes you have the infallible pedestal to stand on that you have the right of way, but sorry that isn't the be all and end all. Keep your head on a swivel and slow down, because some drivers are distracted, some drivers are new to the city and have no idea what's going on, some drivers are familiar with the city but still confused as hell by these bikes lanes, and when you're going 40km/hr you cover about 10-15 meters in the one second between a driver checking his blind spot and looking forward to proceed with his turn.
I'm fortunate enough to be able to shower at work in the morning.

I am lucky enough to commute sometimes 4 and usually 5 times a week year round. I have three bikes: A hybrid 29er that I use April-October and a couple 26er MTN bikes with multiple wheels I swap around during winter months.

This summer I've been biking 20-60km/week.
Mostly around the city for fun, exploring the cycle track and random bike paths, but I usually do once around the glenmore reservoir once a week.

I have a bike that I ride during the evening and weekends. Mostly on the town streets of paths around High River.
Similar to the picture below. Giant Sedona DX.

Did the 240 km Ride to Conquer Cancer for two years in a row. Got a bent rim from coming home after the last one past summer. Haven't got on the bike at all this year due to busy life and being in walking distance to work so I don't have an excuse to bike.
Otherwise, I used to bike a few hundred kilometers a year. Have a Ghost CF road bike with Shimano 105 groupset, nothing special but better than most. In the city though, I pedal around on a $100 Raleigh mountain bike which I won't care if it's stolen, etc.

I like the idea of biking and used to do it a lot growing up (like all of us), but I find it too cumbersome. I biffed hard the first couple times I tried to hop up on a curb and have a mental block with it now, so having to get off my bike all the time every time I cross a street gets super annoying. I much prefer rollerblading for that reason.
If it's just for exercise, for me it's rollerblading >>> biking. But actual commuting is obviously a different story.

I bike occasionally. I would love to bike more. The biking I do right now is with the kids. Kids activities and other commitments keep me from biking. From the age of 13-20 I biked everyday. I miss it and wish I had more time.

Haven't ridden since I was a teen. After starting work, I wanted to grab a decent mountain bike to roll around on, but I never really ended up doing it.

Used to average ~400 km a week in the summer, and probably 150 in the winter. Basically only drove to get groceries. Had to stop two years ago for a few reasons. Now I can get back into it but I have a hard time finding the energy, and I've become lazy about maintenance. Usually do about 50 km a week.
