Wrestling was one of the legacy events from the old Greek days. I think it should stay for that reason alone. Plus wrestling is actually quite huge outside of Canada at the high school level.
No I agree wrestling should stay, I'm just questioning why Judo would be removed. I do agree that BJJ should be in it though, although my excitement to see it would be limited because I can see that plus way more in the UFC.
Most of the athletes in every Olympic sport are drawn from the wealthiest 5-10 per cent of citizens. It takes enormous resources, in time and money, to develop a world-class athlete.

I think we should just have two versions of every event instead, the clean athlete version and the roid monster version. Would love to see how fast some of the swimmers and rowers and runners could do totally roided up instead of only kind of roided up.
I've been saying that for year, but add surgical modifications and genetic engineering to make it a super freak show
Swimmers with flippers, boxers with hands made out of concrete, divers with perfectly aerodynamic heads. high jumpers with their leg bones replaced with slinky's

I just want to chime in and say that if shooting a gun and firing a bow and arrow are olympic sports, then darts should be an olympic sport, along with firing a crossbow, throwing a boomerang, whipping a slingshot, tossing a throwing star, and any other projectile you can imagine. Hell, even javelin, shot put, and discus should be thrown into that group as well while we're at it.

There are two differences here. Shooting and Archery are sports while javelin, shot put, discus and hammer throw are disciplines of the sport of Track and Field.
So if the whipping a slingshot federation can convince the IAAF to accept them, they'll be in!
Darts is making a big push and could be in for 2024.
I'm a bit surprised Billiards isn't already an olympic sport.

The oddball sports make the olympics cool. Archery and shooting, the steeplechase, all the combat sports. If you are removing sports remove men's basketball, tennis, men's soccer, golf, any sport where the Athletes main goal in life isn't to win olympic gold.
and finally with the live streaming app you can watch these cool sports without commentators. It's fantastic.

To me there are a laundry list of sports that should be removed from the olympics, and it begins with all the judged events:
- gymnastics
- boxing (as much as it pains me to say it)
- diving/synchro diving
- synchro swimming
- dressage
I don't know...the list goes on. Are some of these impressive? Yeah, absolutely. But really if you can't measure or see the winner obviously then it should be out.
If they can devise a way to make the judging 100% fool proof from bias getting in the way, then they can stay. I've tried to think about this, usually whenever the Olympics are on, and I can't come up with a good idea.
Of course besides having roided and non-roided versions of sports, we should also have sober and non-sober versions as well. Badminton and Ping Pong obviously deserve to have a competition where competitors are judged not just by their skill, but their BAC.
