Thats pretty cool.# You've said in the past that you can also get cars from Europe too.# What are those like for price, and do they also have lower mileages on them like a car from Japan would?# Is the fuel similar in places like Japan and Europe, or is the octane levels higher?# I seem to remember from going through Europe that their octane levels were like 101 for regular, and higher.# But that was like 10 years ago so those could be false images inside my head.# Also do you have any contacts for places to get performance tires?
|
I can get European cars from Japan. Thes best part is they are all left hand drive. As long as they are older than 1990. We have been looking at bringing in Porsches, Mercedes and BMW's. They are dirt cheap! Well for me they are, but even after my profit, you will save a lot of money. Especially on a good 911 Turbo.
I have access to over 100,000 vehicles per week.
What I really want is a Nissan Silvia S15 LHD if such a thing even exists.

That's a great looking SW20. Long been my favorite car.
How much do these cost you? Do you find any real problems with being a right-hand side driver?
|
It's quite easy to get used to, takes about 10 mins. Non turbo model run about $7000-$9000 (depending on shape). Turbo models probably $11,000 and up. So they are about the same price as here. Except you won't find low km's like that here. And you get right hand drive. It's just something different.
edit: sorry you asked if there was any real problems. The biggest problem I would say is turning left at an intersection when there is another person turning left, going the other way. It's very hard to see the cars coming, when your view is blocked. Just got to be careful and take your time, or wait till the light turns amber..
So how much would an MR2 like that cost me? I'm sure they are pretty good on gas too.
I guess turning left onto 16th Ave off of Centre street would be like playing russia roulette?

JT must be his name.
Neeper would never take someone's picture and post it as his.

I second that question... what's the 1/3rd rule all about?
My photography could definately use some improvement.

Ah, I've heard of the 1/3rds rule. Basically you're supposed to break things up into three rows and columns and use them while taking picutures.
Fore example, the car fills up the right and center third of the bottom third of the picutre, and the Flaming C covers the center and right 1/3 of the background.

Speaking of importing cars from Japan, I'm seriously looking at a JDM '91 Skyline GT-R
It's a slick car, and only 75,000 kms on it.
I thought about getting a JDM 300ZX TT 2 Seater, but those are apparently almost impossible to find.
If you have seen any, let me know as I would be very interested in getting one. Thx.

Hey, some of us like having reliable well built cars. Either you’re very misinformed or you’re racist. Which is it?
What do you drive Trujew?

You guy seriously need to just not read that idiot's posts. He's one of the reasons I left cf.com. For every half useful thing he posts, there are at least 10 inflammatory, useless posts.
Just ignore him & he'll soon tire of talking to himself.

The whole right-hand side thingy has me thinking:
How much of a pain in the rear is it when you pull up to toll booths or McDonald's or whatever.........you just have to lean waaaaay over to pay?
BTW......nice pic Neeper.
