Is anyone from either the Lightning or the Flames in 2004 still in the league? Other than Iginla?

I'll always respect Richards for wearing the Canadian jersey with pride. But I'm glad the day has come where I'll never have to see that beaver grinning cup-winning "I'm gonna go on a flukey cup scoring streak and then never do it again'' guy ever again.

Of almost all the players in NHL history that I think ''what could have been'', Richards is the one that I always think ''what couldn't have been'' when it comes to '04. Of all the years to go on a hot streak in the playoffs, it freakin' had to be that year. Sigh.

Andrew Ference, although he obviously hasn't played for a while. Not sure if Dan Boyle has retired officially by now. A couple of players are still playing in other leagues ... Ruslan Fedotenko played in the AHL for the past two seasons, and Chuck Kobasew is playing in Switzerland.

What? Really? I'm surprised.

only 29 games over two seasons though. Signed a PTO with the Iowa Wild in January 2015 and played 13 games, then signed a 2 way contract with the Wild in the summer and then played 16 games for Iowa in October/November. Hasn't played since, so maybe retired by now.

I'll always hate Fedotenko. Stupid game 7.

Oh. Yeah. Goes without saying.

Absolutely useless player who was 100% clutch.

If Feaster got his way I wonder if he would still be a Flame today? I highly doubt the Flames ownership would have let a GM buy out that contract.

I remember there were many on CP that wanted Richards soooo bad.

So glad that he chose the Rangers.

Can you imagine this flames team the last two years with Wideman, Raymond, Richards and Jones?

a trip down memory lane

You think the Flames would have David Jones? They probably wouldn't have traded Tanguay and Iginla would have re-signed.

Could you imagine the horror show those 3 would put on right now and how utterly awful this team would be? People could only dream of being the Oilers.

Good Riddance Brad Richards. Not the person but the player. Don't want to hear that name ever again.
