We'd still have to expose Jokkipakka even if we had Schlemko, and if I'm Las Vegas, I'm still taking Jokkipakka. So Schlemko is no protection there. Also, he's a good bottom pair guy, but would only really block Wotherspoon or Nakladal (if we re-sign him). Glad he got paid though.

It's more like having such a useful player as Schlemko on a fair deal like this would ease the blow of losing Kevin (to trade or draft). Of course I would rather find a way to keep him, as he is younger with more potential. I don't think having both of those in the bottom 3 would be bad in any way however.
