March has a pretty long stretch, with the exception of the Jets game on the 11th.

Boy thats quite the last 10-15 games on the schedule.
I find the schedule weird this year. Looking at the oilers they only play 2 road games in march. 8 game home stand then 2 on the road then 4 game home stand.
Don't play the Flames after january. I think that sort of sucks.

Wow those last 6 to 10 games look very scary. Hopefully the Flames are already in decent position before them otherwise the end of the season could get very stressful

I really like the Friday and Sunday games at home on the same weekend. It allows me to get to more games. Thursday and Saturday are doable, but this makes it easier for me.

Pretty awful end to the season with 5 straight games against the California teams. Not sure why that was decided?

You have to play them sometime.
Also, that can be the best time to play top teams - if they have a playoff birth, and their fate decided, they could rest players and not be at full intensity.
Really, there is no way of knowing in advance, whether it will be a good or bad time to play them. Sometimes you run into a team when they'll injury-riddled and snake bit. Other times you run into crap teams that are on a crazy roll.
It all averages out.

I believe in the Jays.

November looks gross. A lot of tired road hockey that month... I count 4 back to backs to go along with the longest run of road games (and a smaller but still long road trip at the start).

Only 3 road trips longer than 3 games. That's actually a pretty decent schedule. As others have mentioned, there is a tough 6 game trip through the northeast, but the travel isn't as bad as people think.
Nov. 20 Detroit to Nov. 21 Buffalo. Overnight, but it's only an hour flight.
Buffalo to Nov. 23 Columbus. Day off in between with a 1:30 flight time.
Columbus to Nov. 25 Boston. Day off in between with a 2 hour flight time.
Boston to Nov. 27 Philadelphia. Day off in between with a 1:20 flight time
Philadelphia to Nov. 28 NYI. Overnight, but the flight isn't even an hour long.
Yes, there's lots of travel, but it's all really short stops. It's probably going to be harder to fly home to Calgary after the game in New York with only one day between that and the next game against Toronto, making it 3 games in 4 nights with a lot of travel. Should be 2 days off IMO.
Small note, but they used the old Panthers logo in the schedule. Irks me because the new one is much more elegant.
Feb. 24th @ BB&T Center in South Florida. If anyone is going to be at the game PM me to organize a meet up at the game.

So the Flames' bye week (five days) is February 8th to 12th. Players off to Mexico? Vegas?
