This dissapoints me soo much...there are so many songs that I wanted to hear that were played in Edmonton.
Release, for starters is one of my favorite PJ songs....and Crazy Mary? shinguard! Jeremy?
I would have given up 'Release' for those three songs.
I like to see that they mixed it up a bit.

It was easily the best show I've seen them do, I've seen them five times and the crowd was brilliant. The set list was great, good to hear Red Mosquito and RITFW was deadly. The download has solid sound quality!!

just back from the Edmonton show, very solid. the set list was excellent, although Black would have been nice...State of Love and Trust would have been nice also but looks like that wasn't played either night? despite what the Herald said?

Yeah, I noticed that too. Who wrote that in the Herald? I wonder if he confused it with another song.

supersuckers opened the Western leg. I didn't catch them because there was (no joke) a 45 minute to an hour long line to get IN to Rexall place the other night
however Sleater-Kinney is opening the Eastern leg of the tour, including Hamilton...I've not seen them live but they are a solid band....dunno if they would fall in the riot girrrll category, I'm not up on classifying bands

Supersucker super sucked. What a brutal band.
As far as song lists, looking at them I'm glad we got the ones we did.

I guess it's matter of taste. I think the Supersuckers kicked ass. An opening act that dared to be more than just filler and actually tried to rock and keep things interesting. They are also very talented with their instruments and showed that they have been doing this a long time and know how to rock a good live show.

I thought the Edmonton show was missing some real gems. Black, Off He Goes, Nothing Man for example. This is my 4th time seeing them...finally got to see Jeremy. Not one of my favorites but I'm glad I got to catch it live. I was way at the back and that miserable tin roofed rexall made the vocals a little tough at times.

Sleater-Kinney are an awesome band. I wouldn't call them riot grrl either. I'd call them a grunge band that's all female. If it weren't for the female voice on vocals, you'd never know it was a female band. They rock and I can't wait to see them open for Pearl Jam in Ottawa.

If anyone downloaded the bootleg of the Calgary show from pearljam.com, take a look at the picture of Jeff Ament playing that weird looking bass. Just behind him, on the drum riser, is an old skool Flames jersey my buddy and I tossed up on stage. You can just, just, make out the red/yellow of it. We folded it up like a football and my buddy launched it, hitting Ament. Ament picked it up and kept it back there all show. He's a big sports fan, if you didn't know.
If you can spot it, guess who's name it has on the back...
