did Dahl have a dominate 16 games?

Giordano has not presented a significant body of work in important games in his career to be considered a top all-time defenseman.

Brodie has had half a season where he carried the team in a playoff race and was clearly the best Flame D-man in 2 playoff series.

I would like to think that Giordano would rise to the occasion of playing well in important games but he has not yet done so.

Give me a break. Honestly, I'm just trying to put together an interesting summer activity. All you had to do was vote.

Relax man. You throw out your share of drive-by posts. Laugh it off. If you're going to make a thread every single day, you're leaving yourself open to criticism or a few jokes (mostly because you'll be at front of mind and your name is everywhere).

The more often someone gets a rise out of you, the more often they'll try.

No.
You compared number of playoffs games to indicate Reinhart is better than Gio. I contend that means virtually nothing. If you think Brodie is a better all-time Flame than Gio, fine.
Did you see Reinhart play?

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Little surprised to see Gio winning this round. I appreciate its not a slam dunk decision but he has a relatively short stretch of very high level hockey compared to Reinhart. If his career ended today, no way he is this high.

Being captain gives him some bonus points. Don't remember Reinhart being considered a leader.

I remember Reinhart well, but this still belongs to Gio. Consummate professional who has been one of the better captains to ever wear the C for the Flames. Leadership means something to me, but of course, it doesn't hurt that Gio has had some near Norris-worthy seasons of late.

Although I seriously considered McCrimmon and Macoun as well.
