Laine will be out though as he'll be at the World Cup. But 4th - 6th will be there, along with Connor for the Jets I'm guessing.

Well at least the Canucks will have a goalie that most people have heard of at this years tournament. No more Jackson Whistle and Clay Whitt

Likely the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th picks playing this year barring any trades. Exciting tournament

Will be interesting to see Dubois vs Tkachuk head-to-head. Just don't know what colours they'll be wearing yet.

How is this being held so late? There's the development camp and then training camp immediately afterwards? Maybe prospects were complaining about travelling to Western Canada twice in one summer, so they're holding it right before development camp

The World Cup runs from September 17 - October 1. It looks like training camps will be starting late to accomodate the World Cup and allow those players who play in the World Cup to get a week or so in with their NHL teams before the season starts.
It looks like everything will be pushed back by a week.
The Prospects tournament has always run the weekend before the start of Training Camp. The Prospects camp in July will run the same as always (actually, a week earlier this year because it usually runs during Stampede, but this year will be before Stampede).

Can anyone estimate who the Flames will invite this year? How many players are they allowed to bring?

No one will no invites yet, but all the flames prospects plus the 6OA (if they keep the pick) will be there. It's worth it to see the other teams' prospects too. It's such a good time

Players going back to college won't be there, like if we pick Keller but yeah it's an interesting tournament. It's also a fine arena, wish I could go.

I wonder if Puljujarvi's knee surgery will affect his attendance.

I don't think this year will be as crazy as last year. Last year, Oiler fans came out in droves to see McDavid. The Canucks / Oilers game had an insane amount for the 50/50 draw considering the size of the arena.

I did last year....was windy and cool, we were right on the lake. Penticton is reaaallllllyyyyy quiet in the off season, so don't expect the usual summer activities.

As far as I know it shouldn't.
Incidentally Laine has a minor knee injury too. Makes me wonder if he's going to be able to work on his lower body strength properly this off season.
