Well here's hoping they figure it out otherwise neither of them will be around to collect.

It would be interesting to see the statistics of the oldest person dying's age. What is the median age of the oldest person alive, over the last 20 years or so? Most seam to die at 112-116 from what I recall of these oldest person alive news stories.

Ah, thanks Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldest...son_since_1955
since 1955: Median age is 114, Average is 113.6
Last 20 years: Median 115, Average 115.14

6 of the 59 are male....

What on earth is that? The idea of the nutrition pyramid where, at the top, is a little fat and meat, and at the bottom a lot of carbohydrates, is, excuse me, bull####."

My grandmother who lives right here in Calgary is a ripe old 105 years of age.

The last 7 years or so her brain/mind has failed her, but before the onset of dementia it was fascinating to talk to her and the things she has seen in her time.

The best part of her story however, is that she still has 7 living siblings...all sisters the youngest who is 78 IIRC. She has lost 2 sisters and her one and only brother who died in France after landing on D-day and eventually passing away in Normandy in 1944.

Its been a hell of a life thus far and I hope she lasts a whole lot longer.
