Having recently had a discussion about 2 girls 1 cup and goatse nothing phases me. There is no dirty rusty. Rusty trombone, rusty hook, and dirty sanchez of course, but no dirty rusty.

I think it's cool personally. Nothing wrong with pride in your home Nation. I know if I was living abroad, I'd be flaunting my Canadian silks any chance I had. You can be a proud Canadian, and a proud Russian at the same time man.

Gord Miller tweeted about VE Day in Russia earlier today. It's understandably a big deal for them, so the downtown parade was probably a few Russian expats bringing the event here, as has been mentioned.
You missed his post where he explained that he was being sarcastic and what you quoted didn't really reflect his views.
Based on his posting history, I think the post really was a bad joke!

Russians arent exactly over-fond of their Soviet history, and despite the fact that they were under Soviet rule during the time of VE day maybe they could have just waved a Russian flag?
