A bit of NHL news while awaiting CAN/BLR in St Petersburg. Expect Marc Crawford to be named Guy Boucher's associate coach today in Ottawa.
Another potential Flames HC off the market it seems. Another sigh of relief.

I would be perfectly fine with Crawford as an assistant or associate coach.
OTTAWA - Ottawa Senators (@Senators) general manager Pierre Dorion announced today the hiring of Marc Crawford as associate coach. Crawford joins Guy Boucher’s coaching staff and has agreed to terms on a three-year agreement with the Senators.
Crawford, 55, brings 15 years of National Hockey League experience to Ottawa coaching staff. The native of Belleville, Ont., was a head coach for 1,151 games, which ranks 16th in league history. He posted a career record of 549-421-100-77 over 15 seasons as a head coach with the Quebec Nordiques (1994-95), Colorado Avalanche (1995-96 to 1997-98), Vancouver Canucks (1998-99 to 2005-06), Los Angeles Kings (2006-07 to 2007-08) and Dallas Stars (2009-10 to 2010-11).
This video is much funnier now. "I, Marc Crawford, assistant coach to Guy Boucher, absolutely believe that the coaching strategy employed by Guy Boucher should be outlawed by the NHL. It is harmful to the game. Fans don't want to see that kind of hockey."
