Saturdays have had the good results, right?

I say, leave it and let the Saturday luck carry into the real thing.

This is my view too

I'd almost feel doomed if I got a good result in the morning

I say don't do it tomorrow. I say none of us should do it or at least talk about it tomorrow either. I'm just nervous because I've done it 3 times today and the Flames finished top 3 all 3 times.

What I don't get is that we either make the top three or we finish 6th or 7th. I understand we can't get the 4th pick but we never get the 5th pick either.

I wouldn't run it tomorrow. Enough discussion will happen at 5PM mountain about the real thing.

The chance we finish 5th is about 1/3 as likely as finishing top 3.

Or you can say we have about an almost equivalent chance of finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 5th. It's between 8.5% and 9.1%.

If they end up drafting 7th as things are averaging out to be I would just as soon they trade the pick to the Penguins for Matt Murray if the Penguins are inclined. I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling about any of the defensemen in this draft and at 7 it's 3rd tier for the forwards.

I've convinced myself that Mike McLeod is a much much better option than Alex Nylander. Still, they take a RH shot which is A.O.K with me. Just hope Nylander man's up a bit more.

I'm just fine with Nylander at 7. I think he is going to be an NHL player who could be a very important piece for Calgary in the future. I'll take that at 7.

Leave it be. Don't need another simulation on the day of the actual pick. These days leading up to the pick were all "fake days". Tomorrow is the real day of the lottery pick.

I'm also not superstitious but certain that it would mess with things if you had the Flames pick first.

I'm also undecided if I'm glad that you aren't involved in the actual lottery, or sad because that would be when your luck turned for the best.

why would Nylander be a better than Mangiapane?

He is 2 inches taller and 10 lbs lighter.

Is Barrie that much of a better team that Mangiapane stats are inflated?

If somehow the Flames get Nylander that would really reduce Mangiapane's opportunities. Sure would like to be able to see how Mangiapane looks in training camps/exhibition games before drafting such a similar player so high.

Oh, I don't know.....could it be because Mangiapane has 2 more years of

development?

Or that every single NHL amateur scout projects Nylander

being a top 2 line scoring forward that will be drafted in the top 10 of the first

round, whereas Mangiapane is a longshot NHLer, at best, at this

point ?

Do you think possibly its gotta lot more to with projection as opposed

to comparing numbers and size between 20 year olds and 18 year olds?

Mangiapane is two years older so he should do better in junior. As for Mangiapane's opportunities being reduced, you can't worry about that. Just have the best player make the team. If there is only room for one, the other can be traded.

okay then

Last year ..when mangiapane was 6 months older than Nylander's 2015-16 season... he kinda had a better year 43 goals 104 pts 1.5 ppg than Nylander's 28 goals 75 pt year 1.3 ppg season.....

But Mangiapane had a 6 month edge in development... and then followed up with a 1.9 pt season

Neither one of these guys looks to be anything other then an undersized skilled player at the NHL level...

Is Nylander a better skater? Better Hockey IQ?

Why did we rank Baertschi a better prospect than Gaudreau in the summer of 2013?
