More accurately though, not a fan of Buffalo getting another top pick after their tanking tank job, plus I'd actually like to see both Puljujärvi and Laine in the west so I'd see them play more often. So almost perfect, but could still be a little better.

Are you gonna be the guy in the Dome who stands up and cheers when they score on us, despite you wearing a Flames jersey?

wow!! Imagine how smart a lucky lottery makes the Burke and Trevling look...
4 top forwards.... 3 top d-men Backlund and Frolik as top notch 3rd liners.
Takes away a major hole and absolutely leaves goal-tending as the only reason that this team is not a playoff solid.

It doesn't really make them look smart. It makes them look lucky, hence the fact that it's a lottery.

Dale Tallon gets credit for building the Hawks to a SC champ.
The Hawks moved from 5th to 1st and picked Patrick Kane.
Tallon is still getting credit and paid as a guru GM based on the lottery results

No he isn’t.
He’s getting credit for assembling a team by taking also-rans from good teams (Sharp, Ladd), making shrewd draft picks (Keith, Toews, Seabrook, Byfuglien, Hjalmarsson, Bickell, Crawford, Wisniewski), signing some great players (Hossa, Kopecky), and hiring a great coach (Quenneville).
It’s not because he was there that the Hawks won the lottery. What, are you going to suggest that he intentionally tanked certain games to ensure the Hawks finished 5th-last?

^ Tallon has rebooted the Florida franchise as well... he did get Ekblad and some high picks, but like the The Team Up North shows you, winning lotteries all that time doesn't turn you into a winner.
good management and coaching is what gets you into the elite.

Dare to dream, Arnold.

Do you mean 1 first overall vs 4 first overalls?

Anywhere But Edmonton really. I'd pick Minnesota or Nashville if they weren't in the playoffs, but beoynd that they're all more or less rivals.
Okay, slight preference against Vancouver. I don't really mind the current Canucks team, but their fans are the worst, and it's just so much nicer here when that team keeps on sucking.
I guess the order of preference would be
Winnipeg
Colorado
Arizona
Eastern Conference
Vancouver

This is amazing. Instead of the Sens if it was the Devils or Jackets that would be better. If the Flames get the top pick though it is an automatic 10 for me. At that point I don't care what other teams do because adding Matthews will make the Flames a force for years.

I'd definitely prefer Devils over Sens, Jackets? Not so much. I'd rather Bruins over Jacket.

Question is, if the Flames win the Lottery do they take MAtthews or Laine? Laine ticks more boxes after all.
