The people in the BMWs were not breaking any traffic laws based on the video. Why would they get charged with anything based on that clip? Yes the left lane is a passing lane but there is nothing that says you need to speed up and get the pass over with. People with vision will also notice that in front of the BMW in the left lane were several other cars and a Semi so the guy in the BMW in the left lane was not the start of some slow traffic in the left lane.

The idiot who went up the middle should lose his license.

Sure, but I'm not seeing any evidence or even suggestion the BMW drivers were doing anything illegal.

I don't think that if someone says "the blue BMW was speeding" the cop is going to hand out a ticket for speeding. The Infiniti driver hasn't even been charged and they have his stunt on video.

Came for the overly aggressive CP drivers to be mad at the regular drivers instead of the dangerous one.

Left satisfied.

That's because there is no dispute about the moron in the middle. He should lose his license. There's nothing to discuss there.

As far as the BMW on the left goes, impeding the flow of traffic is a $115 fine.

What evidence do you have that the BMW is impeding the flow of traffic? In fact, I'd say there is evidence to support the fact that the BMW was actually following the flow of traffic.

I think you need to brush up on what a BMW looks like.

Why would the CPS investigate? They have no jurisdiction.

Why would CPS investigate/care about an incident that took place wholly in RCMP territory and has already been dealt with by RCMP?

Except isn't it the jurisdiction of the Alberta Sheriffs?

Alberta Sheriff's work with/under the jurisdiction of the RCMP when it comes to traffic enforcement. In this case, one would notify the RCMP of the offense, and they'd likely investigate it.

From my understanding of it, for an Alberta Sheriff to have been involved, they'd have to have been on the scene, witness the act, and act then and there. They don't have investigative/after the fact powers (in traffic enforcement, at any rate).

Tongue in cheek, but wow, I can't believe the amount of people clamouring up to find fault with the other drivers.

In fairness, they are driving BMW's, so it's only a matter of time before they do something worthy of a ticket.

They're BMW enthusiast's. It's a pretty safe bet that they're doing something wrong.

Normally I'd be on the 'why were they in the left lane' wagon but if you look there's clearly other cars in front of them too. Only issue I guess would be how long the two BMW's were pacing each other side by side like that. Too short of a clip to be able to tell. Drivers in Calgary have been fined for doing that and impeding traffic, even when they weren't speeding.

That said, based simply on that short clip, Infiniti is the only guy doing anything wrong here. Hope the RCMP pushes for a Careless Driving infraction and not just a stunting one
