He is probbably my number 1 choice. I like the libertarian aspect and hopefully him being from Quebec draws in voters from eastern Canada. He is a big supporter of the oil and gas industry and pipelines to the east. He is also open to the potential of legalizing marijuana.

On March 19, 2016, at the Conservative Future's Conference[13] he cited the policies of China, India, "other 3rd world countries" that lifted "millions of people out of poverty." specifically citing "less government and more freedom". In the same speech he also criticized policies creating "more government" to address poverty and unfairness in the free market as "nonsense."[14]
Uhm...uhhh...uhm... errr...

Is he operating in an alternate universe? Freedom in China? Less Government? Maybe...Maybe I'll give him less government than they had before, because I don't know, but they clearly have far more government than Canada.

So basically Canada's Ron Paul? Not sure that would resonate coast-to-coast as much as it would for some in Alberta.

If there's anything more naive and disconnected from reality than utopian socialism, it's libertarianism. Although at least utopian socialism doesn't come with the added bonus of complete disregard for the disadvantaged and underprivileged.

EDIT: I should qualify that by noting that libertarianism in theory has a whole bunch of different branches, but I'm speaking in terms of the Chicago and Austrian schools of libertarian economics.
