Who replaces him? Hathaway? Hamilton? Poirier?

I want to see Bill Arnold on the next emegency callup. Unfortunately we have way too many centre on the roster right now. It is a nothing game already and I already seen Poirier, Hamilton, Agostino and Hathaway. I want someone who we haven't seen this season so far.

I'm not sure I agree. Seeing the Flames are going to be tight up against the cap in coming seasons and Bouma is staring to become damaged goods I just may opt for the 4th round pick and keep the $5 million remaining on his deal. I think the team has a few less expensive options in Stockton that can replace his ice time and while they may not be the warrior he is they will likely play no worse and spend less time in the sick bay. You never want to fall into the trap of getting overly attached to depth players especially if they can't stay healthy.

No one who blocks as many shots as he does and hits as much as he does is going to be 100% healthy all the time. At the same time I think it's safe to say he's been very unlucky this season with injuries. As long as Bob Hartley is our coach we're going to be blocking shots. Bouma is basically our leader up front in terms of blocking shots, PK, and hitting. He sets the example for the rest of our bottom two lines. I think a lot of you underrate his leadership by example and underestimate his combination of intangibles and scoring.
I don't see anyone on the farm who replaces all of what Bouma brings. Hathaway is similar but plays the opposite wing. And IMO we want more of that type of player, not less. Plenty of players I'd be moving before Bouma if cap space becomes a problem. Wideman, Raymond, and Stajan are all much worse contracts for us.

Wouldn't mind seeing Klimchuk - by all accounts he has settled into a 3rd line role quite nicely for Stockton and a taste of the NHL could be great for him in advance of the offseason.

Bring Poirier back up. Put him with Monahan & Gaudreau for a night.

I really hope it's Hathaway seeing some more time here. Guy definitely showed he belonged in his time up here. I'd like to see more of him to help determine if that was adrenaline or potential we were seeing.

With Bouma out I am guessing this last call up will be the final of the year (I think we have one call up left but it really doesn't matter with the emergency call up). I know Stockton is a developmental team, but man the parent team has pillaged them regularly since the trade deadline.

I think they saw exactly what they wanted from Hathaway. I think they probably told him he did everything they asked and that he's got an inside track on an NHL job next season.
I suspect they'll recall somebody who they haven't seen yet or somebody they wanna see a bit more of.

Not really surprised that he's injured again. Sucks for him. Him and his agent must be over the moon with the contract he signed.
Hopefully he can recover fully in time for next season. But people need to brace themselves for the reality of the type of player that he is. He's going to be spending a ton of time on IR throughout his career.

Its been a horrible season for Lance, but its funny because even when he played this year he isn't the same physical player that he was last year. His injuries to me haven't been of the heroic type.
He's one of the guys that you have to wonder if its time to at least explore his trade value so that we can fill the bottom 6 with someone with a friendlier contract.
Due to injuries and other stuff, he completely got away from everything that made him break out last year.

I think next year is a make it or break it year for him. To say he's been a disappointment this year is an understatement. His contract is looking worse and worse as time goes on, it's not an anchor but just an all around bummer. There were a lot of high hopes for him so maybe next year he shows that he is what we all want him to be.

Once a guy's had as many injuries as Bouma's had I'm not sure its unlucky. Just one of those guys who gets hurt which isn't all that surprising with how he plays.

Lance Bouma suffered a pulled oblique in last night's game and will miss the final two games. Tough season for #Flames No. 17

If you are looking to replace Bouma, it's Hathaway. Otherwise, it's any one of a bunch of guys that need either a second look (Agostino/Hamilton/Poirier) or a first look (Arnold). I don't know that Klimchuk really merits a look yet.
Or you could bring back Raymond, since the games mean so little. The guy's a PPG in the AHL, so he hasn't pouted or been "injured", which I respect. And he likely never gets a chance to play an NHL game again, ever.

Lance Bouma's injury leaves Flames short one forward. Scratched tonight for Stockton for first time all year is Drew Shore. You do the math.
