Also, while Jagr was playing with Cervenka, who got more points? Cervenka. By that logic, Jagr should never have returned to the NHL.

I am also of the opinion that Cervenka didn't get much of a chance here in Calgary. He came injured (blood clots), didn't get the benefit of the full camp, fell out of favor with Hartley, and just never managed to get it going. Still at half a point a game, it isn't like he bombed. He just wasn't the answer to the Flames' 1st line center problem like Feaster intimated at the time he was signed.
I was joking.

...back again with the white Bauers.

Right Age, right shot, why not? Worst case scenario is he is AHL fodder.

He looks good to me. Our depth at RW is so bad he could be almost guaranteed a top 6 spot next season.

If he signs and he doesn't have a blood clot which effs up his mojo I think he should be a better fit for the NHL than Cervenka. He's bigger and faster and his play on the boards looks pretty good in any clips I've seen.

These players chased by multiple teams either from college or Europe is always a solid move. No risk, potential reward

We should be the front runners, I think the chance to play with Monahan and Gaudreau is a sell in itself. 100% worth a signing.

Yup. Huge void on RW. If he is good enough to make the team, but not ready for top line his consolation prize, would be to play with either Backlund or Bennett. That's not to shabby.

I hope they explore a legit option for the top RW too. These freebies are nice, but they rarely pan out

I think it's a gamble the Flames should take. Low risk high reward situation.

I think that it helps having other Czechs on the team. I always have it in my head that every Czech player wants to play with Jagr though, so Florida will be the front-runners for any Czech player (if Jagr returns). It is like a kid growing up worshiping Gretzky, and getting a chance to play with him. (I still think they go to whatever team is willing to give them the most opportunity, regardless of national players really).

I think a player will choose the best opportunity for success over their favorite players or teams.

News Update

per McKenzie, Pribyl has narrowed down his list and the Flames, Predators and Penguins are the finalists

Jackpot?

They are likely saying telling Pribyl he'll have every opportunity to play alongside Gaudreau and Monahan. And he's likely looking at our forward roster and believing them.

I wonder if it helps that fellow countryman Nakladal is having success with the team.

I hope re-signing Nakladal is part of the agreement.
