Poirier, Shinkaruk and Kulak should all play then, and hopefully Stajan sits so we can see Grant again as well.

Grant should be taking Stajan's 4th line center spot.

Further to today’s recalls, the #Flames have sent Garnet Hathaway back to Stockton as per the AHL website.

Was he an emergency recall? Either way he showed well and he'll be in line for a spot on the 4th line next year I think.

It's been covered before but correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't Bob have to put these guys in to the lineup?

Emergency recalls have to dress or go back down.

Really looking forward to seeing Poirier. I still think he can be a very versatile winger for Calgary (PP and PK) who adds speed and grit. Hope he has taken a step forward and has a bit more confidence since his last call-up.

Wow I totally forgot we had Hunter Shinkaruk. My brain was totally confused about why we were recalling from the Canucks for 10 seconds there.

This is the forward lineup I'd like to see tonight.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Poirier
Shinkaruk - Bennett - Colborne
Bouma - Backlund - Frolik
Ferland - Grant - Jooris

I agree with the lineup here - I do think Poirier should get the first crack at the top line between him and Shinkaruk. However, I also really want to see Poirier and Bennett together - they both like to hit and are both very quick players. Hard for me to really decide.

edit: Would be perfect if it was:

Gaudreau - Monahan - Jankowski
Shinkaruk - Bennett - Poirier
Colborne - Backlund - Frolik

That way, Poirier and Shinkaruk can play their correct sides.

I hope Poirier shows well. He's been so underwhelming in what I've seen of him so far that I've kind of started to give up on him. It would be a big deal if he can establish himself as a legit option on any of the top 3 lines.

He missed the final game of the season last year in Winnipeg due to "injury".

It couldn't mean that unless they're injured. The guys on emergency recall can't play in place of healthy players.

It's not up to you, the injured players will have to sit whoever they are. Scratching a lot of our grittiest players would be a soft and questionable suggestion as well.
