Pick. Besides, Iginla isn't done yet. He'll get another shot next year.

I don't care at all if Iginla gets a cup or not. Matters not to me.
All about the pick.

Colorado isn't built for a cup finals run, so Dallas.
Iginla can get a cup with the Flames after his current contract, because they Flames are gonna build an actual contender.

Iggy? You mean the guy who provided management a four team list and then screwed us over by saying oops, I meant a one team list. It's impossible for me to forget that was his last action as a Flame. I liked Iginla but I've more than moved on.
I'm a Flames fan first and Dallas winning helps the Flames so it's a no brainer for me.

Anything in the interest of the Flames trumps anything in the interest of Iginla. Much like the year he was traded to Pitt, and losing the conf. final resulted in the pick being a couple spots better, I would cheer for Dallas here.
Any situation that does not involve the Flames, Iggy all the way. I frankly don't understand how people have cut sentimental ties with this guy.

If Colorado was guaranteed to win the cup then I might think abut it for half a second but you have to take the pick all day.

We're all forgetting that Iginla is coming back to join us at the 2018 trade deadline for a storybook Cup run where he scores the controversial, upstairs-reviewed game winning goal in OT of game 6 against the Lightning and grizzled vet Steve Stamkos

The real question is who TheScorpion would want to win if Dallas and Minnesota met in the playoffs.

I want to see him succeed but not at the detriment of the Flames.
Stars & pick for me.

He actually provided a 2 team list, with the true intent of it being a 1 team list.
It sucks he had to exit that way, but he didn't do the team any favors at all on that one.
Dallas every time, no question.

Meh, this draft sucks where those 30 picks are a crapshoot. I'll say Iginla for that reason alone.

I would take the pick myself.
I love Iggy but it is not even a close comparison to how much I love the Flames. Another 1st gives them more flexibility for deals or allows them to draft a higher ranked prospect. Gotta root for the team over the player every day

The pick only applies to this year.
Iginla will come back and play another year at least, if not more.
It's a no-brainer to want the pick over Iginla's success.

Also, in a Minnesota/Dallas series, cheering for Jones but go Stars!

I am sure you have been asked this and mentioned it somewhere but why and how did David Jones become your favorite player? Do you know him or his family personally?

Dallas no brainier, that pick would help the team immensely. Iginla will have another crack at it next year.

Part of it was the novelty of the choice. I personally feel that David is a very underrated player.
I already owned his jersey then, but his big goal against the Canucks in game 1 last year also helped.
Never met him, no, but he just seemed like a prett cool guy.

Go Stars.
Love Iggy, but wrong colours.
Now if they met in the WCF and we already got the pick, then go Avs
