It's destiny.

Our reward for not being Edmonton.

I'm not worried. Teams like LA, Anaheim, Chicago, Arizona, and Minny will send Calgary back into its proper place.

How pathetic and obvious was that? I'm proud of the flames. Jets and Habs are on the oiler level of obvious tank job. Pisses me off because I'd like the flames to get a good pick this year. Whatever tho I think winning Is more important in the end. Just makes me hate some of these teams.

Too old, garbage player, past his prime, need 21-year old goaltender to get wins.

Really happy for Backstrom - that has got to feel good after 14 months of practicing only!

Also many of the Flames young guns (Mony, Johnny, Dougie) were on fire tonight. Not many teams in the NHL who are competing for a playoff spot would want to face the Flames right now!

Oh yeah....and with 3 pts tonight, Dougie Hamilton is now in the top 20 for scoring among dmen, along with Brodie and Gio.

EDIT: I cant count apparently. he will be 2 pts shy of top 20...my apologies.

Looking at the highlight of the goal on NHL.com, it sure doesn't look like Colborne touhed the Hamilton shot. But then Gaudreau getting a point would help me as well, so I'm watching with biased eyes.

It looks like the puck drops down after making contact with Colborne's stick to me.

Was anyone watching the beginning of the Oilers game when McDavid was coming down on a 2 on 1 and the Oilers play by play guy literally just shouted "LOOK!!!". Hey dude, you're a play by play guy not a drunk fan shouting out to your buddy.

So glad we have Rick Ball.
