I stopped by Choice Furniture near the south Costco. They had a few used Leaps that I tried out. They were not bad, but unfortunately most of them were in a little worse condition than I'd be willing to accept (stains and other cosmetic stuff).

The guy there showed me their SitOnIt stuff. It seemed like pretty decent quality. They didn't have any higher weight capacity stuff on the floor, but he told me that I could check out the SitOnIt site and configure stuff there and send him the price and he could tell me what he could get that exact configuration for.

Seems like the SitOnIt stuff is highly configurable, which is neat. Pricing seems pretty decent. Their prices in store were somewhere in the neighborhood of 30% lower than the website pricing. Warranty seems good too. Anyone have any experience with SitOnIt stuff?

I know this because I used to be the design director at the Herman Miller dealer in Calgary. It was a great chair for its time but its time has past.

So what chairs do you recommend? A 24 year old model that still looks good, works great, and lasts just as long and costs $300 on the used market because it is bought in such large numbers by big companies sounds like a sure bet to me.
