Basically a lack of offensive polish. Brodie and Bennett would've helped and presumably Hudler's offence will be replaced somehow. That's a different lineup and we won't lose next year

I think the coaches call him Orts, that's why I use it, kind of caught on for me.

You know you're a bad team when you can't beat the f'n Arizona Coyotes all season. This summer can't get here soon enough.

Great. Our goalie's nickname means Leftovers.

That's an optical illusion.

Normally, the other players skating around him would create air currents. This makes the cobwebs on his skates flutter so he appears to be moving. Playing against a team coached by Tippett, the cobwebs just hang there so you can tell he's stationary.

Just got home from the game. The most noticeable player for me was Hathaway, he looked great out there.

When the Coyotes have to trade us Domi to move up to #1 they are going to remember this game...

Hard to imagine how much worse this rebuild would be without Johnny. We would probably be looking at another 2-3 years of this.

I love Johnny, but I'd say we're probably in for about 2 more years of this...

I think we can rebound next year with a few additions. Obviously we need better goaltending first and foremost. Secondly we need some more scoring depth. I think Treliving has enough trade assets at his disposal to solve those problems. I think there's a very good chance our #1 pick goes straight into the NHL if we're picking top 6 and IMO in that top 6 there's 5 forwards and 1 d-man so we have decent chance of landing a forward. Add another top 6 forward through UFA/trade and suddenly we look a lot deeper up front. We're gonna need to add 1 or 2 goalies and that's where Treliving is going to have to work some magic. If we do that I don't see why we wouldn't be competing for the playoffs. There's the possibility that a few of our younger guys take a significant step forward next year. I still see room for growth in the games of Bennett, Ferland, Jokipakka, Wotherspoon, Colborne, Nakladal, Monahan, Ortio. Not all will improve but surely at least a couple will.
