i don't think a skunk will spray in it's 'house' (or whatever it's called... den maybe?)... but don't quote me on that
This is ..... terrible. I guess I am soft.

We had a skunk dig a den in our window well once late in the summer. I just filled the hole with crushed gravel when the skunk left. For some reason that worked.

ours were 'determined' to live under the steps

my dad had filled in the hole a couple times only to have it dug out

after our dog got sprayed the second time he had had enough

She has never smelt - never - and has given us endless hours of amusement watching her on the wildlife camera we installed.
Know of people that used this company as well. No problems.

We have a ton of them in Chestermere. There is one that hangs out on my block. He's pretty chilled out. We've become buddies over the past couple years and he will come and sit on my deck with me if I'm having a smoke. As long as the dogs don't see him he wont spray and reminds me of a cat.

They are smart buggers. My neighbours tried catching some last summer and they wouldn't go anywhere near the traps no matter what tasty treat they left in them.

I bike to work from Queens Park Cemetery to downtown. I often smell them on that route. I've only seen one, a month ago in Highwood. So you will smell them a lot more than see them.

Lots in Royal Oak. They are very docile creatures, only spray when frightened or cornered. I came across one the side of my house one night about 2 weeks ago. It just scurried away, no spraying. We both went our separate ways.

I got sprayed by one when I was a kid .... I can smell a skunk before any one else!!

In Coventry Hills they've been pretty bad in recent years. My dog got sprayed on a morning walk before work about 5 years ago. Will never be able to forget the smell of being 20 feet away from a fresh spray.

We'll see them on our evening walks doing their thing in the streets and on people's lawns. If you stay away, they don't bother you but you better believe we book it in the other direction.

Haven't seen any yet this year, but smelled one nearby last week.
