I often thought I'd like to become a spy:

This job gets boring after a while, does it Cheese? I've heard it from a few other older co-workers as well. I always thought that I'd stick this out til I'm 45 or so, and then get a job teaching engineering stuff at SAIT or something like that.

well at times it can get quite boring...there are still challenges and we know that Electrically things are changing fast...but design is still design. I can honestly look around this country and be proud of the sheer number of facilities that I have had a hand in designing and constructing. Thats something that noone can ever take away from me...and my name is etched on drawings and stored in vaults from Vancouver to PEI...and many points in the USA and abroad.
Still...I love to work...I dont think I could just stop like some guys do, as Im far to anal and would eventually drive my wife nuts or any of my stay at home neighbors.
So something different...

Well, I don't know if you know Jim Pillott, he spent some time at Cohos, and then Stantec for the last two years, but he just retired and bought a vineyard in the Okanogan. That's not a bad way to go, I think. The vineyard should keep you busy enough to stay out of the wife's hair, and you get to spend a ton of time outside. Just might be what you're looking for.

Buy a bar. Open a franchise. Follow a sports team home and away for a year and write a book about it. Doesn't sound like you have a whole lot to lose. Get back in the CPHL as a GM!

yes I do know him...and that sounds like a great idea! One I have considered...it would be marvey to own a vineyard in Niagra on the Lake....just need that first 3 million investment...cmon Puckers...invest in Cheese Wineries...hey that sounds great doesnt it? Im sure Reg can come up with a great label for that bottle!
