I really hope it's Washington! I like the idea of him getting a real shot at the cup. Plus I think this is a year they could move their 1st pick!

question. Can you not trade a suspended player?
At this point Wideman has missed what 14 games? Even if his suspension goes the 20 games, why wouldn't a team gearing for the playoffs still be interested in him? It's only 6 more games that he would miss.

Yes you can trade a suspended player.
Flames traded Rene Bourque for Cammalleri while Bourque was suspended.

You can trade suspended players, but it's not so much the 6 games that would stop a team, it's the full year that follows.
