Shocked he was traded. Does Pittsburgh feel they can fix enough of him leading up to the playoffs to actually trust him out there?
Well, here is my obligatory generic sentence after an Oiler gets traded:
"Hope he lights it up and wins some awards with how good he is just to show how much the Oilers suck."

Though you didn't have your team President have Gretzky and Coffey call you to convince to sign (since you had no choice), Darnell Nurse, this is what your your return will be in a few years.

Russell could still be in play for the Penguins IMO. Schultz is more of a reclamation project than deadline playoff depth move. They got him on the cheap for a lot of hype. If they can't turn him into something it's just a 4th, but there was plenty of potential there at one point.

Haha, Jebus. Wow. if Pitt pulled the trigger there on Schultz, I can only assume Russell is too expensive or something is already lined up. In any case, Suitors dwindle but so does the stock of D men.

If Schultz gets a 3rd I can't wait to see what Russell gets.
What a terrible trade for Pittsburgh.

A 3rd rounder for a guy who doesn't know how to play his position. Baffling moves by PIT sometimes, they do some really strange things.
As we already knew the market for defensemen >>> market for forwards.

Wow, if that's the going rate for Justin ****ing Schultz, we better get Evgeny Malkin for Kris Russell.
