Didn't the Flames tell Iginla to stay home the day he was dealt. He wasn't even at the morning skate, the team basically played the game that night knowing he was traded. I think Tanguay was actually crying on the ice...and the Tankalanche still managed to lose to the Flames, and eventually ended up with Iginla.

Would take them out of the running for Vrbata certainly, and given salary issues, probably Hamhuis (/Russell) as well.

Isn't that always the way it goes? Chicago tears it down and looks like they're a few pieces away from contending, then prove they're still contenders, and end up adding 1-2 pieces near the deadline to turn them back into front runners.
Just amazing.
