Ugh, neither team is very good right now. Not exactly a 'must see' game. Don't know who will win tonight but I'd love to see someone dummy Burrows.

I hope one day they have banners capable of displaying gifs and this one is retired to the rafters for all time.

Guess I'll pray for a Ferland fight near the glass.
Yeah, I remember how optimistic I was about how meaningful late games will be this season.

Oh that was cute.

Wotherspoon to play tonight

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Russell and Smid out tonight. Wotherspoon will make season debut. Nothing major for Smid, day-to-day. Russell likely back on Sunday. #Flames

Pretty funny how quickly our depth went from
Gio-Brodie
Russell-Hamilton
Wideman-Engelland
Smid

to

Gio-Brodie
Hamilton-Engelland
Wotherspoon-Nakladal

Watching this one in Edmonton, for some reason. Going up later today.

So either way, I'll be in a sad city today, dependent on the result of this game.

Calgary loses, we'll be sad. Darn
Vancouver loses, we'll be happy - and Edmonton will be sad!

Hooray for sadness

I guess the Matthews sweepstakes are on - the only reason I can see as to why Hartley keeps starting Hiller! Might as well spot the Canucks four goals before the puck drops!

Wes Gilbertson @WesGilbertson
#Flames going to give Sam Bennett a look at centre tonight. Will skate between Ferland and Jooris.

Or you could put him between Gaudreau and Hudler, just for fun

Ferland-Bennett is a duo I've been waiting to see. Those guys could own the walls and have a punishing forecheck.

I endorse these lines!

Yuck Hiller ....again....I can secure a case of 12 beverages with a win tonight. If he costs me this bet I will lose it worse than I have already lost it with him.

I only feel a bit better about Hiller starting is he usually comes to play against the Canucks. Maybe Joni will get the start on Sunday in Anaheim.

Default Flames vs. Canucks, 7 pm, SNW

@NHLFlames:

"The plans with Hills is that we're trying to give him the same opportunity as Karri Ramo." - Bob Hartley. Jonas Hiller gets the start.

"We know Spooner ... We believe in Spooner and it's a great opportunity for him." - Bob Hartley on Tyler Wotherspoon, who will play tonight.

Bob Hartley also confirmed Sam Bennett will play center tonight. Micheal Ferland and Josh Jooris will play on the wings with him.
