Good for a little while. Horridly soft defence, poor passing everywhere on the ice, bad decisions. Why is it that the Flames get a PP and always end up in board battles (losing) and then it's always back to their end? No control at all. Sigh.
Time to give up on this team this year I think, sad to say. I'm not even sure I want to watch them - they are so often uncompetitive and with such bad goaltending just have lost any heart they might have had.
oh: moderately bright spot - Nakladal. Bad D on one goal, looked decent on the PP and OK the rest of the time.

I would honestly rather have a retired Kiprusoff in net than Hiller right now.

Well, with Hiller in net we will need to score a minimum of 6 goals per game to win.

What do you have to lose in giving Ortio the next game? If Flames are gonna keep losing, at least give him a shot to see if he can find some of that form from last season. Can't do much worse.
make a big save, Wild had breakdowns too

Powerplay Quarterback
we desperatly need one more good 2 way dman (like a coburn) and i think our defense will be set. After the top pairing its a tire fire defensivly

Kipper with a tall glass of vodka and a smoke hanging from his lips is a better goalie than Hiller right now!

Jonas Hiller played goal, thus I did not watch.

Defence didn't play great, only 5 of them, but Hiller had a .826 save percentage. .826! That is so freakin horrible that a AHL scrub would be better.

This dog is more entertaining than the Flames.

Some are saying that you can't leave a guy alone in the slot but when it happens, it shouldn't be a goal every time. The goalie has to make some saves

Flames get within one and Hiller almost allows a backhand from a ridiculous angle
anyway no point in arguing, guy will be gone soon...probably from the league

The Flames DESTROYED in terms of possession tonight:
Every player was above 50% CF at 5v5.
4 players were <50% FF at 5v5.
Some positives.

Can't wait to see Jonas get lit up in December when he's playing for Davos in the Spengler Cup...guy can't stop a beachball.
