Datsyuk scores a pair of goals in 68 seconds, 3-0 Detroit.

Should Fowler have ended up with a penalty anyways? Obviously there were two infractions, but only the first should have been wiped away with the goal?

I am visiting New York at the moment, so went to the Rangers v Devils game at MSG. Both teams were pretty poor. Rangers did just enough to win, but their play was underwhelming. Their PP was terrible, went 0/5 and gave up a shorty late on.

Hayes was their worst player by a mile. Mid PP in the 1st period, a Devils stick breaks and he picks up half of it with his stuck and flips it into the crowd on the sidelines. Gets a 10 minute misconduct. Bizarre, never seen anything like it. Brainless play by him.

Devils looked worse though, I know they are missing Cammalleri, but they barely had any dangerous chances at ES, easy night for Lundqvist. Considering they are in the hunt for a play off spot, they don't look like a team that can mount a challenge at the moment.

87 is almost good enough to be considered an all star.

Fun fact, since returning from Christmas break, Crosby has 31 points.

In that same time frame the Canucks have scored 31 goals.

Petr Mrazek gets the SHUTOUT with 23 saves as the Red Wings beat the Panthers 3-0. The win puts Detroit just six points back of the Panthers for 2nd place in the eastern conf. The Penguins stomped on the Ducks winning streak with the 6-2 win. Crosby looked really good out there in his 4 point game. The Senators took care of the Lightning 5-1. Stone and Pageau both had 3 points in the game. Vasilevskiy was in net for the Bolts. The Rangers were able sneak by the Devils 2-1 in reg time. Schneider kept the Devils in the game as he faced 37 Ranger shots.
