Those are the ones. "waffles and bourbon" wow sounds great Francis. Just what I want in the morning. Now that I know he owns that place I won't be going there for sure.

Well he did crosscheck the hell out of a linesman, so assuming the league is correct and that it was intentional I'd be giving the guy with a now documented tendency for random violence a little more leeway...

Beltliner is a good place. The waffles and bourbon line is stupid, but blame the 'zomg everything involving alcohol is so ####ing awesome' culture we live in more than Eric Francis.

Maybe Bridgeland isn't for you.

I have never understood how Francis has credentials to be taken seriously at all, or have any kind of sorts media role. On broadcasts with the likes of Hrudey, Friedman, Button, Sutter, etc. He sticks out as a know-nothing.

He's maybe not as dumb as Healy, but at least Healy can claim some practical experience.

Something tells me you spent time on Electric Ave after a Flames game wearing a Lanny MacDonald jersey, and complained to people how Don Getty shouldn't be trying to pave every road in Alberta because it was a waste of tax dollars.

Because every time someone comes in here rampaging about him and linking his articles he gets 500 more hits.

Its almost as if its on purpose.

It is on purpose, at least from his perspective. He's a troll reporter and tries to get reactions and page views.

It works because so many people don't realize that they're reacting exactly the way he, and his bosses, want them to.

If you're going to call in sick and your boss finds you at the golf course, at least pretend to be playing sick while golfing, right Francis?

I go out of my way not to read his articles. Most of the time I only get information regarding his columns by what's posted and quoted here and when he's on RSN I tune him out.

Nice to try and paint me as some sort of old crank. THAAAAANKS!

Actually I was 8 when they won the cup and I had the jersey of someone WAY better - Al MacInnis. I told Lanny I would knock his moustache off his face during a game in junior. No way I would wear his jersey.

I really don't know how Eric Francis is a Flames sportswriter. He either tries way to hard not to be a Flames homer, or is secretly an Oilers fan.

There's no other personality in sports who craps on the Flames as much as he does.

The permanent d-bag face doesn't help his case either.
