I can't see anything happening just based on how ridiculous it was. There's no way he meant to do that, right? It's just too stupid to be intentional

I would be shocked if he wasn't suspended. I don't really buy the whole "he was dizzy" stuff. He CLEARLY raises his arms right before contact, and it wasn't to protect himself. Looked bad. Intentional or not, he swung at the linesman.

As for the trade value comment - what trade value?

Yeah, I guess. I did list him as the least valuable player on the team a couple days ago, and this play just screams 'fool'. I mean, why?

I'd like to think he isn't stupid enough to do that out of anger for being clipped on the boards. I do hope it was just a failed pivot, but he didn't even look concerned. Looked angry going to the bench after the hit

I hope he gets 10+ games. I actually really hope the Flames just suspend him for the rest of the season. Absolutely no reason to tolerate that kind of behaviour, especially from a veteran.

Another issue that should be considered - if he really was banged up and didn't see the linesman/couldn't react in time, then how is he OK to keep playing?
