I am starting to feel that a bit, seems like he refuses to make adjustments and keeps going back to what worked in the past. Stick with some ####ing lines, give Ferland 10-15 games on the top line without yanking him mid game. Takes time to develop chemistry sometimes.

I don't really dislike anyone on the team enough where I want them gone asap. Guys like Bertuzzi and Marchment were a different story.

If I had to pick one I'd say Colborne. The guy is so big I find myself just wishing he'd get ticked off and use his size to his advantage. But he never really does, at least on a regular basis. He's just frustrating.

Team's just not ready but they're right where they should be if that makes any sense. That said, Wideman, Russell, Raymond and Colborne all need to go away. They aren't part of the future and they certainly aren't good enough for the present. Honestly, I think Nakladal, Agostino and Grant could easily replace their 'contributions' at this point. Get Smid into the lineup more and claim the next dman that goes on waivers. I'm just sick of watching some of these guys.

There isn't a coach alive that could fix this mess... they just aren't ready. Let Hartley and co. finish out their contracts and then bring someone else in for 2017/18.

Gaudreau, the guys too small to play in the NHL.

Wideman
Raymond
Hiller
Ramo
Bollig
Jones
Colborne

In that order.

Edit: agreed on special teams coach.

Frick, forgot about Bollig lol. We'd be better off dressing 11 forwards every game than ever dressing him again.

Careful what you wish for with coaches, you might just get a Brent Sutter, Bruce Boudreau or Dave Tippett.

Much system, many yawn.

Sheesh. It's a big list. Wideman, Colborne, Russell, Raymond, Engelland, Smid, Bollig, and Hiller are all candidates. But I got to go with Wideman given his salary and term.

I'd rather have wins than exciting, disorganized pond hockey. And we're not exciting to watch outside of Gaudreau and Brodie so...

Raymond for sure. By far the most useless player on the team. Doesn't fill any role on any line. Just a waste of a roster spot.

He makes us easier to play against.

I really don't understand why Hartley dresses him when the other players actually do something and he doesn't.

Without us, there would be no Flames. Can't have a fanbase without a mix of all sorts. It's not like a bag of licorice, you can't just pick out the ones you don't like.

For me, I don't really look at the team and instantly think "I wish this player was gone" as much as I think: "This team just needs a couple more pieces and some experience to start being really competitive".

Yeah, there are lots of players on the team that have terrible games - even terrible weeks. They aren't part of the core. To me, I just see 'temporary filler'.

I would feel much different if one or more of these players had a long-term contract. That would change everything in how I look at the team. So, from that standpoint, no one on the team REALLY irritates me.

For instance, Bourque REALLY irritated me in his last 1.5-2.5 or so seasons. Glencross started irritating me more and more because I was very apprehensive of him getting re-signed - but once it was announced that the Flames asked him to waive, he never irritated me any longer.

If the Flames were a contender, I would probably share the "I hate this player sooooo freakin' much". The fact that they are really just placeholders until a prospect goes and actually pushes one out, or when their contracts just expire (relatively soon) doesn't bother me at all.

And Colborne doesn't really bother me at all. He is still cheap, and at least he does have games where he outright dominates. Yeah, these are FEW, but at least there is something there that keeps me hoping. If not, I just know eventually the Flames will cut bait with him either through trade or just not re-signing him. So from that standpoint, he doesn't bug me at all. Just... underwhelmed too often by him, but I can't say I wish they booted him off the team.

You're trying to put Bruce Boudreau in the same category as Brent and Tippett?

This is the first time in his career he's coached like this, he didn't really have a choice when his team was bottom of the division with less than 2 GF/game
