Kind of puts management in a bit of a bad light as I would expect any good team to suffer if they lost their starter but to be ten games under .500 without him is ridiculous. The Flames have managed to hover around .500 with some of the worst goaltending we have seen in decades and this Habs group has literally turned into the worst team in the league without getting anything but all-world goaltending.

The Canadiens started 9-0 and realistically should probably tank now. It's not too far to the bottom right now, so they should sell what they can and try and get a top offensive talent they badly need. Shut Price down and bring him back next year totally fresh.

Yeah with Price in net they might win a lot of 1-0 games actually. A big save at one end can lead to a goal at the other. Everybody plays with more confidence when you think your goalie can steal any game. Empty net goals boost your offensive totals and shooting percentages which you get more of when your goalie backstops you to a lead.
He is one of the most valuable players in the league IMO. Montreal is a cup contender with him and a non-playoff team without him. That's how big of a difference he can make IMO. Goaltender is the single most important position and Price IMO is the best in the world.

20-4-2 On December 1st
Since then they have scored more than 2 goals 5 times. Averaging 1.82 goals a game. I don't care who you have in net you aren't winning games.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense...
Screw this season, and the 150,000 or so seats that have been sold for the remaining games.
Don't play your best player, and simply throw away one of his seasons because, you know, a professional athlete's career is almost limitless.
And put all your chips into a draft because, who cares about the 50 players currently in the organization.
Because hey - they're one whole point out of a playoff position!

That is true and the eastern teams are marginally better.

Hemsky scores, 1-0 Stars three minutes into the game.
The Blackhawks have won a dozen straight games as they defeat the Predators 4-1. Kane and Panarin with two points each and Kane scored his 30th goal of the season.

Are we spoiled with Canadian broadcasts or is this LA Dallas broadcast that bad?
Maybe bad is the wrong word but not very enthusiastic perhaps...

It sounds terrible. No enthusiasm at all. Sounds like they are not even at the game like a DVD commentary

This is the Kings commentator crew, Bob Miller and Jim Fox.

It was 1-1 until the final minute of the first period. Doughty scored with 59 seconds left, Eakin tied it just 33 seconds later. No scoring in the second period and then midway through the third period, Lucic scored the go ahead goal and it is 3-2 Kings.

I always find Darrel Reigh, of the Stars announcing team to be both funny and animated.
Good win for my guys again tonight...now it's of for a B2B with the FLA teams on Thurs and Fri...I expect that the current streak will come to an end there...The 'Hawks seem to not always bring the intensity to non-O-6 East Conference Road games.

Ramo has been better than average since the start of December...and seriously "decades" Flames have had terrible goal tending for most of their franchise history other than Kipper and a few years of Vernon

Well to be fair they don't even have to tank, they're 5-16-1 since the start of December which I gotta imagine is the worst record in the league in that time. They just need top talent and FAs of that quality rarely become available like the top 3 in this draft. They could badly use any of them.
