I know, it's a tough call. But I look at it this way:

If the Flames play as well as they can/should, they will easily finish ahead of the Oilers.

And I want the Oilers to finish in that 9th, 10th hole.

So if the Flames don't play well and make the playoffs, then I would rather see the Flames get the higher pick.

Annnnd there's the tie goal. The Oilers are no fricking good.

i think when we have some more skill up front that's when Hartley's system will really shine like in Colorado. If that doesn't happen then we will have to change to a more defensive system.

That Max Domi seems pretty exciting tonight

I agree totally. As much as I love to see the Oilers at the bottom of the standings I want no part of them drafting in the top 5. Sucks if they win and give the Coyotes a loser point but the Oilers can't help themselves so you can't expect any help from them if you are the opposition.

Doesn't matter. We aren't getting the business done ourselves, so there is little point in getting disappointed by a 3 point game between 2 divisional rivals.

People can say hey, we're only 4 points back of a playoff spot. And that is true. But you also have to think about it as we have to beat 3 of ARI, SJ, VAN AND ANA down the stretch. Even if 1 or 2 of them struggle at points its really hard to imagine us ahead of 3 of them. SJ is coming on and Couture is back now, ANA has more than they've shown, they are always better in the 2nd half, ARI just doesn't seem to want to stop winning they are 7-1-2 in their last 10.

Playoff chances are looking pretty grim to me despite the fact we're only 4 back.
