I don't get why they're not worn by everyone. Are they really uncomfortable or something?

This is kind of another reason to get as many skilled players as possible.
Truculent players are nice, but they seem to get injured left and right. I'll be surprised if Ferland or Bouma ever play more than 70 games in a season. Other the other side, I'll be surprised if Gaudreau doesn't play more than 70 games at any point before he's 30.
Injury-prone players also are not worth their contract if they are only playing 75% of the games.
I love Bouma, but we can only have so many players that sacrifice themselves on a nightly basis.

I got some base360 ones from Costco and they feel great.

Yep, I said during the gamethread he got tangled up and looked to have cut his leg.
So frustrating.

Are they heavy/overly sweaty? Agreed that they ought to be a no brainer for the players to wear. Like the footguards over the skates.

Damn, I was hoping he'd stay healthy and away from blocking shots or slamming into the the boards hard. He's far more important on the ice than off.

These injuries are why I wouldn't have given Bouma a three year deal. He's a fine player but with that playing style injuries and career length aren't going to be strong points.

Nope, they are nice and soft and wick away moisture pretty well.

Will be nice to have a healthy hudler and frolik back in the line up. Hopefully hudler has taken enough time to heal up and is able to contribute more.
Really liked ferland on that top line last night. Also liked the way Hartley seems to be transitioning ferland to playing more minutes... Seemed like ferland would sometimes take a shorter shift than gaudreau and Monahan which meant Bennett would play half a shift with them. Gets Bennett more minutes and time on the ice with gaudreau and Monahan.

Catch 22 for him. If he doesn't play that way he has no career. If he does continue he might not have one either.

Any word on Hiller playing, I hope Ramo can get a bit of a break. Its starting to look like Kipper playing 70+ games again.

What type of cut takes a few weeks to heal?
Must have been ugly.

Looks like this year's gonna be a write-off. I guess we can't really debate whether that 2.2m looks good or not

Highly unlikely we actually see a full healthy forward lineup at any point this year, since we are getting pretty close to the trade deadline.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Bouma - Backlund - Frolik
Hudler - Bennett - Jones
Colborne- Stajan - Jooris
Would be nice to not have to dress 3 guys from the group of Bollig, Colborne, Raymond, Granlund etc

Poor guy is made of glass. Really hope he can heal soon. We need his grit.

Not sure I get the claims of him being made of glass. He got cut by a skate on a freak accident while tied up with someone away from the puck.
