When we played the Flyers earlier, Vinny was one of the best Flames on the ice.

LA can do this from a cap perspective? Must be salary retained by Philly, no?

How does LA have the space to take on two bloated contracts without a roster player going back?

I don't understand this at all from LA's point of view.

Am I missing something here? How does this make LA better even with retained salary?

Weal is a tweener that puts up a lot of points in the AHL

Kings have been avoiding putting him on waivers.

Well, they did get a lot of cap relief on the Richards settlement.

Wow that's a great trade for the Flyers as it rids them of two bad contracts and they didn't have to give up anything outside of some cash. I suppose Sutter believes he can get something out of these players that other teams couldn't.

Is there a limit to players you can retain salaries on? Even if the Flyers take on 50% on both it would put the Kings pretty close to the cap.

This makes no sense for the Kings, they haven't the cap space for this.
Of course, like that matters with them, the low life cap cheating pieces of crap.

If anyone can, it's Sutter. Regher looked about done in Buffalo, has a resurgence under Sutter. Seeing as Schenn and Reggie are of the same "not the best skaters in the world" ilk, he may just milk whatever is left out of Schenn before being put to pasture.
