Does CP keep you from going POSTAL?

I don't think CP keeps anybody from doing anything.
Not true Dis!
Right now it is keeping me from doing dishes, laundry, cleaning the bathroom and weeding the garden.
God Bless CP

Do you get annoyed when posters credit the FATA origins to someone else, when the truth is you are the one that coined the FATA in the first place?

How do you deal with people's pets?
Had any face to face meetings with a pet?
|
I always give animals the benefit of the doubt. I keep an eye on them. As I appraoch they usually retreat or come up and lick me or something. I do deliver in some seedy areas with lots of pit bulls. Most people keep them restrained, but there are those who don't care. A carrier in my station was attacked about a month ago by one. It bit him on the mouth.
We have pepper spray we are supposed to use in the case of an attack. I've used mine twice. There are some carriers that over use it. I don't want to be one of those guys.
Always have to be careful though. We can lose our jobs if we get attacked and the management decides we didn't follow procedure.

I would say, "Newman" like Jerry says it. So, no, not a big fan of that particular mailman.
|
How about Cliff Claven?
Quite possible the coolest TV mailman of all time? I think so.

I thought you were like a semester away from finishing Biology? What are you taking now Dis?
Great to hear that timing and school load is working out good for you. Best of luck with everything.
|
Unfortunately, the university I was attending doesn't cater to non-traditional students. They offered zero upper level Biology classes at night. The school I'm in now specializes in degree completion for working adults (it's a legitimate university too....not like a franchise that you might have heard of...U. of Phoenix or such).
My degree will be in Business Management.

How much do you make if you don't mind. I was actually thinking of getting into the Mail industry and heard they pay extremely well.
|
Yes, you really can't beat the pay in this area. Right now, I make $17.80 per hour US...and i just started a year ago. There are people in my station who make 6 figures I'm sure. We have the opportunity to work a lot of overtime....just the nature of the postal service in the US. So, I work about 15 hrs OT in an average week.

It's been a while, hasn't it?
I will eventually be moving back to my native Montana...an afternoon's drive from Calgary. So, when you are in Calgary and I am there....it will happen. Unless I come to Bavaria before then!

No, and especially because the 'term' was perfected when the dancing fata was added...which was not my doing!
What does bug me, though, is the overuse. It should really just be used when someone is reporting old hockey news....as in the original case with the Rangers claiming Rico off waivers. Instead, it's been perverted :P and used whenever anything has already been discussed....no matter what it is.
It's not funny anymore because of that.

Tough, tough question!
The AFC is stacked this year, and our division is the toughest IMO.
However, I think the Chargers will take a step back this year and the Raiders are, well, still the Raiders!
I say the Chiefs nab a wild card spot.
Larry Johnson sure looked good tonight! Nice 1-2 punch they have going there.

I don't think this has been asked yet but...
What are your hours of work? Start and end time?
And how long is your day?
A few years back I played softball with a mailman. He was always quite puzzled by the fact that people had some many questions about his job. It just seems to be one of those jobs that intrigures people.

Now taking questions......
Whatever you've ever wanted to ask me personally, or an American, or a mailman, hunter, etc fire away!
Also, taking North American geography questions. I think I'm pretty good!

Have you been to some pretty rowdy neighborhoods and got a little worried about it. Hows it like being a mailman.

I start at 7:45 AM. As a 'newbie' I only work replacement right now. I don't have my own route yet. So, most days, I'm working on more than one route. We get doubletime after 10 hours but recently management issued an edict to eliminate all double time. So I'm always off by 6:15 pm. Rarely before 5pm. 6 days a week for me too.
