Well the Flames weren't going to win every single home game the rest of the season, so beating LA would be a great start to a new win streak

Proud of Wideman there.

Most guys didn't play as bad as this board suggests. What else is new.

Tough loss, let's get em next time.

That wasn't a good enough game from the Flames. Not even close. Pretty bad. Easiest shutout of Gibson's career, and probably not an exaggeration. No idea why cold players like Colborne are out there, while Bennett, who busted his butt with his ice time sat on the bench. Smarten up.

Also, Anaheim is bad, and they should feel bad.

That game was a crime against hockey. Is that all the Ducks do now? Just clog up the neutral zone, try to get in the way of everything, and only attempt offence off turnovers? No wonder they suck this year.

I'm really starting to loath the Ducks. It just sucks the fun out of watching a Flames game when they are always handled in relatively easy fashion. Really sucks they have to play these guys 6 times a season.

Oh and Monahan was a total no-show tonight.

Whilst I agree with most you said, Monahan was very successful in the faceoff dot. He could have been way, way stronger on the boards, though.

Ducks played solid defensively...still they Flames had a few chances and lost by a single goal...Kesler is such a d-bag not sure how anyone can defend that. Why didn't Ferland tune him in though?

I yearn for the day when Calgary routinely kicked St Louis and Anaheim arse.

I was only able to watch part of the first and some of the second, but the thought that occurred to me was:

are we being outcoached by Boudreau when we play the Ducks?

we don't seem to be making any changes to our gameplan against them.

Almost but not quite as St.Louis wins every game against the Flames while the Flames win at least one home game a season against the Ducks. The common denominator is that they are both good skating big teams and it's just a bad matchup for the smaller Flames that try to play a transition game as they just get outmuscled by these two teams.

Yeah not even worried. Ducks proved that are no threat this year.

Game was a tough one to watch as a fan, but if there is someone on a Ducks board making an "Around the League Report" they have tons of priceless material to harvest here.

Is that Darryl Sutter behind the Anaheim bench? Just play for the 1-0 win

Bring up Kanzig and Smith for the next one. If we're going to lose to these #######s we can atleast send a few monsters in to steamroll them. I'd love to see Smith smash into Perry.

Flames should play with plungers instead of hockey sticks next time since all the Ducks do is clog.

Wow, not a very good game.

Very few scoring chances, Flames played the Ducks game and it cost them

I wonder if 8 total shots after 2 periods is a record

Trap or not there's no excuse to only generating 14 shots in 60 minutes. Flames just didn't come to the ice prepared to play tonight.

Hartley is outcoaching himself.

There have been at least three goals scored by one team in the last six games Sutter's team has played. They have dropped 10 goals in their last two. Sutter plays a completely different style from the crap these Ducks showed today. The Kings style is a thing of beauty and if the Flames don't play well they will get blown out.
