Congratulations on the new addition!
Also, to those who are commenting on how big the baby was: When I was born I weighed 9 lbs 12 oz. But, I was born via ceasarian section. You can't tell though. Except whenever I leave my home I go out the window instead of the door.

Yay for Buff! I LOVE kids. Now get as much sleep as you can right now, as you won't get any for a really long time....

Thanks everyone!
His name is Zachary, I plan on making a really quick and simple website to post some pictures, but it won't be up for a little bit. While my baby was large, I was rather small. I was only 7-5. As for the advice to get sleep now while I can... it is too late for that. I stayed the night last night and the baby has his days and nights mixed up so from 5:00am Thursday morning until the time of this posting I've probably had the chance to get 6 hours of sleep. However my wife didn't wake me up until 5:00am thursday morning, but she had been up since 1:00am... even though she has had a better chance to get some sleep today, she still went through a bigger ordeal than I did... she is simply amazing to have been able to gone through all of that on such little sleep and still do well now!
On an interesting side-note, I briefly met Stampeders wide receiver Brett Ralph before I came home to unload gifts/get different baby clothes. He came home to pick up his wife to take her to Calgary but she went into labour so they had the baby in Lethbridge. His wife is staying in the room next to my wife's room. Dang he is tiny! I just looked at him in confusion when he said he plays for the Stamps. lol

Great news. Really happy for you.
I have three kids (Boys: 7 and 2 years old and a 9 month old baby girl). Having kids is the best, most fulfilling thing I've done in my life. There's nothing better.
Of course you can forget about getting a full nights sleep now! It just doesn't happen. I kinda operate on 4 hours of sleep a night now. I'm used to it though so its no biggie....
Best wishes to you, your wife, and your little one!
edit: Oh and another thing, expect several bouts of terror at any given moment. For example while I was typing this post my 2 year old managed to grab a Timbit, stuffed the whole thing in his mouth and then proceeded to choke on it. Holy crap, I don't think I've ever moved to fast. He's ok now, running around like nothing happened but I'm the worse for wear now! Hey, it's all worth it though. Sorry didn't mean to dampen the tone......
