Great to see both Bennett and Ferland getting top 6 minutes, now much closer to Johnny. Perhaps I'm a bit superstitious but I still believe the famous Ferlands photo from 2014 training camp is a forecast for our future 1st line.

what's wrong with Colborne? he has shown to have chemistry with Mony in the last couple years. personally i like the lines.
I don't know what people see in him. I don't see a single aspect of his game that he does well. And there is no stat out there that says he's doing something right. Not counting stats, not hits, not analytics.

Colborne has shown chemistry with Monahan in the past, that is true.
However, Colborne is a disaster with Gaudreau. Colborne loves to have the puck on his stick, and he isn't a great passer. I don't mind Colborne, but he should never be with Gaudreau. When he is, Johnny doesn't have the puck enough.
And when Johnny doesn't have the puck enough, the Flames are in big trouble.

If I were Hartley he would be my scratch candidate over Jooris. 1st line? Prepare to get shut out before the inevitable line blender in the third.

I am okay with Colbonre getting a shot on the top line. I really think adding a big body to that line is ideal I just wish it was someone who played bigger than Joe.
Holidays started today for me so excited to get to take in this game live and celebrate a victory
Flames better figure out how to play 60 minutes of hockey if they want to stay in the playoff race. Can't afford to take entire periods off like they did in the last couple of games. And for the love of all things good and pure, can we please play with a lead for once tonight? So sick of constantly being down a couple and having to claw their way back.
The hate for Colborne is strong right now, and I don't know why. He's played just fine. He works hard, one of the best forcheckers on the team consistently. Hustles back on D.
Rusty Bouma is still going to launch hos face into pucks. Glad to have him back and the PK will be better for it. Although he was terribad before going down. I'm sure he'll need a few games to get up to speed.

Board needs a whipping boy I guess. Raymond playing better, Ramo has been good, Hudler looking more like himself.

This isn't peewee. Having "hustle" shouldn't gift you top minutes.
Colborne consistently makes poor decisions and loses the puck down low. He contributes almost nothing offensively and is mediocre at best defensively.
If we're content with players like Colborne in our top 6 then we're never going to be contenders.
I predict many plays tonight where Gaudreau dishes it off to Colborne and he loses it while trying to protect it down low. He has so much potential to use that size but he is just bad it.
lol...yes Hudler isn't up to his play of last year and Raymond should probably not play as much but they've been better * as of late * and the board likes to have a guy to shoot at. Hence, the Colborne hate. All just my opinion, of course.

Colborne has never been very good. Let's not pretend he has a history of effective play. His proponents always talk about his "potential". The potential of a guy who is already on the downswing of forwards' pro hockey career.

Hustles back on D?
Colborne is a turn over machine. My least favourite Flame. He's just not very good, but Hartley likes him for one reason or another.
Here, a good song to get yourself pumped up for tonight with. I'm not sure what the connection is to the Jets, but the tune is great and will help you make great life choices.
Careful, lyrics are sketchy. Don't blast at work. Keep away from CEO's.
