I call myself a Saskatchewanite. That's the term all my friends and family use also.
And I use Saskatoonyens... not sure if that's right.
And I would assume it's Reginans.
|
yep....thats what we were all called at one time.

hosers.
my dad's from saskatchewan, he was a hoser - meaning him and his brothers/cousins on the farm would siphon the purple gas for their personal vehicles.
cops would pull them over and that's the first thing checked.
haven't heard that of any other provincem, though i don't imagine manitoba was much different back then...
i'm kind of ashamed of my saskatchewanese heritage!

Stubble Jumpers.

You know, I played rugby at the same club as a girl who's nickname was Stubbs (she actually played for the womens national hockey team, you know the one that won gold at the olympics) and when I asked her why her nickname was stubbs, she replied "Stubble Jumper" and my reply to that was "You're a lesbian". I don't know why but for some reason Stubble Jumper sounds like a euphamism for lesbian.
Edit: BTW she isn't a lesbian, but she is from saskatchewan.

I thought it was Saskatcheweners.
|
Just asked my friend this question the other day and indeed it is Saskatcheweners.
|
Hmmm... odd. I've never heard this term used.
And it's Saskatchewan. [/b][/quote]

Of course there's always my mother's age old nickname for Saskatchewanites... or Saskatchewaners, or Saskatchewaneys, or whatever the hell we're called...
