If it ain't broke don't fix it.

The D pairings we've been using have worked for us. Reshuffling the pairings could throw them off their recent mojo. Don't do it Bob.

They've gotten along fine without Russell.

starting goaltender is still up in the air

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Hartley declined to name a starting goalie (at this point) for tonight's game. #Flames

Aaron Vickers @AAVickers
Hartley: "(We'll) know after warm-up. Both guys are still recovering so we want to make sure whoever feels the best will get the start."

Yeah, that being said I'd prefer a healthy, rested Russell in for a potentially flu-ridden, sickly Smid/Engelland

Considering Hiller played last game against the Rags and didn't fare well i'd go with Ramo. I just know that I will cringe on every shot that they take nonetheless.

Uhh. 4-2 Flames.

Is this some type of joke? I don't have any authority here, but I'm pretty sure you will be banned from CP for 100 years if you refuse the mac and cheese tonight.

I find it hard to believe you couldn't find a couple image showing us I'm a more positive light.
Loved the throw back though
I only use images from the most recent meetings, and I try to avoid re-using images. There was almost nothing to choose from using those criteria. Rangers swept us last year and beat us this year once already. They've won 6 of the last 7 meetings. There isn't much to be positive about against this team.

Rangers aren't gonna play like they did last night....Flames need to be patient and wear them down

Rangers have looked soft of late. Busy, but soft. The Flames need to hit hard and often, sustain some early jump and they can beat the likes of Nash & Co.
(People talk about Raymond's muffin shot...I saw plenty of those from the Rangers vs. Vancouver the other night. Miller had a lot of easy saves. Hiller has to mind his rebounds.)

The defense has started to click. I hope Russell doesn't throw a wrench into that. He is awful possession wise.

Hope he is on the bottom pairing.

I honestly expected us to roll the same lines until we lost. I don't see a reason to mess with something that is working. Also if Ramo and Hiller are at the same point, Ramo needs the start. He's taken over the net, until he loses IMO.

I hope we have soon seen the last of Russell on the Flames. He's a good guy, but not someone you want on your NHL D corps.
