So having just looked at the standings, five of the bottom ten teams, and six of the bottom twelve, are in the Pacific division.

That is just completely insane.

What's interesting is the Pacific (even excluding LA) has a winning record versus the East. They just get demolished by the Central division - Calgary is 3-4, LA is 6-1 and the rest of the division is 8-25-5 against the Central division.

I think its more the Central is loaded and the other three divisions are relatively even but the Pacific plays the Central more than the other divisions.

Although San Jose and Edmonton have been bad for the most part except against the Atlantic Division.

It really sucks for LA though - if the season ended today - they'd play Chicago in the 1st round while the two other Pacific teams would play each other.

These next 3 games.......geez.

Glad they won the first two, but it would suck to get back to .500 only to backslide 3 games immediately.

Hopefully they can go 1-1-1, but that's a tough stretch of road games for this squad.

St. Louis is a statement game. The blues have owned them the last few years. They win Saturday it's a big statement that they have taken the next step.

I was thinking 5 points in the 5 game stretch would be a great success. Three games in and we have 6 already. I'll take it.

The last time the Flames won in St Louis was the game where Iginla scored his 1,000th point.

That's a long time.

6th, actually. Guessing you used QuantHockey, they don't have Nick Harbaruk and Wojtek Wolski listed for some reason.

I'm glad we play Detroit on the second night of the back to back and not STL.

So should the Cup parade be on Stephen Ave or 17th?

I'd love to have a Flames cup parade on Whyte Ave or Granville Street, actually. That'd be a sight to behold.

This is why I think Saturday's game will be the toughest game of the month. They just seem to match up well against the Flames.

But if the Flames win...

How about a Flames cup parade on Yonge Street?

Led by a float containing a giant David Jones next to a giant Michael Frolik, just to rub it in.

How about we simply stop talking about cup parades?
