I would have thought JG genes could outplay the flu. Guess he is human.

Or like everyone does?

Plus, these guys sweat a lot then bump each other. Or grind in the corners.

No disinfectant can stop it

Though flu shots could be mandatory...

JG genes can outplay the flu for games, just not practices.

@AAVickers: Hartley on Monahan leaving ice: “He wasn’t feeling right. I don’t know if he’s sick. He told me ‘I feel awful’ so I said ‘get out of here.’”

Monahan must have been watching Hiller try and make saves in practice and got sick. Second hand suck is a hell of a disease.

Not that these guys can't go out and have fun but I would be pretty pissed as a coaching staff if Monahan and Gaudreau are missing practices because they were hungover after a concert.

Especially after that game on Saturday.

Edit: Not to be insinuating that them being hungover is what caused them to miss practice. I highly doubt that Hartley would have been okay with them missing practice if that was truly the case, which is more what I was trying to get at.

Well we really don't know if they were hungover and it would probably be best not to assume they were.

True, but as a general rule of thumb I think if you make more than $500k a year, you do not have any leeway to act like a dumbass.

I'm not saying they are, but again, if you make that much dough, there is basically no room for error: i.e.: getting pissed then being hungover for work the next day.

Going into work hungover and sucking it up vs. Calling in "sick" cause you're hungover is the key.

It's not like they're going to get cut cause some people on the internet are speculating that they were.

That's really not the reason why I would abstain from making those comments.

You can see why people might speculate tho.

IF that was the case tho don't leave potential photographic evidence.

Oh man. God forbid a group of people go out to enjoy a concert. Y'all do know you can go to those without getting drunk right? Drinking is not a requirement to attend a concert.

Jeezus H. Murphy, if it's not the media outlets drumming up some crap story that mean nothing, it's our friendly rabid canadian fanbase. Oh noes! Someone went out and had fun! How dare they enjoy life! Let's tie their R&R to the lack of success their regional sportsing team is enduring! Maybe if they were more professional and stop having fun once in a while they'd have more success on the ice, thus I'd be more entertained at home on my couch drinking lots of beer and eating greasy foods!

Rabble rabble rabble.

I really doubt that they would be drinking hard at a The Weekend concert anyways. Let them have fun, they are human too.
