Saw Russell from a distance at the Red Rally today and it didn't look like he had anything on his hand.

The NHL is a weird game. I found myself hoping for Russell to have a broken hand. It's not that I dislike him, it's that it's so rare for a young player with potential to be able to push his way into the line up.

I thought this might be a chance for Nakladal or Kulak or Wotherspoon to have another stint up with the team and try to make some waves.

I've been somewhat unimpressed with everyone not named TJ Brodie on the back end and thought this might be a chance to shake it up. I appreciate everything Russell does/has done for the club but I still was looking for bad news today. Strange.

Rssell signing autographs at the red rally today. He signed one for my son. His finger has a sleeve on it and he wasn't exactly using it to write. But if it was broken he would not have been signng autographs at all you'd think. So hopefully nothing long term.
