Yes, of course. But Paris I think struck a cord among North Americans more than the other attacks because of Paris being in Europe. The fact is that America and Canada were founded by Europeans, so there is simply a more natural connection to Europe and therefore more sympathy/shock. That's my theory anyway.
I don't think it's "wrong" people felt so outraged about Paris more so than over other places that were attacked. Canada especially has a deep and obvious connection with France. It's a natural human reaction I would say.
However, if you brush it off as "oh, who cares so more Africans or Asians were murdered for no reason" well then my friend you are what many on this board like to call a racist, bigot, xenophobe. Probably the most used words on this site other than "Flames" since Nov 13th.
