My kids have been out for two hours now. They are either really slow walkers or are collecting a boatload of candy for me.

Made a sign with a sad cat picture saying "Sorry no more candy."

Record count of 11. Also learned Mr Big doesn't seem to be popular. Peanut Butter Cups went first, followed by Kit Kats.

Mr Big is the worst candy bar. The two things I hated most as a kid at Halloween were Mr Big and Eat More. I actually grew to like Eat More but I don't think it is made anymore. I still can't stand Me Big.

We had about 150+ kids. The count for my Twisty the Clown costume making children cry was about 6-7.

Forgot to change the batteries in our wireless doorbell. Only a couple people persistent enough to try the knocker. So, about 2 groups of 8 people.

Think I had about 50 kids here in Sage Hill. Was able to go through almost two boxes of candy so I'm happy I don't have to eat too much myself. Guess I'll bring the rest to work on Monday.

First year renting in Elbow Park. Thought I planned well with 32 big chocolate bars (Wonderbar and Crispy Crunch) and a backup box of little candy just in case.
I was wrong. 7 kids on 5 knocks. The look on the parents faces when I let their ~5 year old Ironman take 4 bars was the highlight of the night.

We got about 20 kids. We had a two kids try and take the candy out of the bowl. I couldn't believe it. I had the bowl in my hand and was leaning forward to put some candy in a kid's bag and all of a sudden this kid comes up and two hand grabs a bunch of candy. I shook her hands out and said that it's candy for everyone, not just her. I looked at her parents, who did nothing. Then, a couple of kids later, same thing happened. I was shocked. It's never happened before. Normally, the kids are really well mannered, lots of Happy Halloweens and thank yous. Never had a kid try and double fist candy out of the bowl. Little jerk.

First year in our new place, had 53 kids. I set up some Phillips Hue bulbs and a bluetooth speaker controlled from a Halloween iOS app. Some spooky ambient sounds and a sound/light show when a kid was at the door.

We lived in Altadore previously and went over to the Elbow Park area for candy once. It was quite disappointing. The rich folks are obviously too good for Halloween. What I gathered was that kids in that area don't go door to door but instead go to Halloween parties.

I had to shut down for about 15 mins to pick up my son. The number of people trying to cross a major residential street wearing all black was astounding. The worst wasn't even kids- parents pushing a stroller across- emerging from parked cars stroller first. Everybody dressed in dark or black. Had I not been doing just 30 (it wasn't a playground zone)- it would have been ugly.

Don't know how it is at my house because I'm not home but the border guard asked me about three times if I had any alcohol with me for a Halloween party as I was crossing the border tonight and then laughed and asked if I wanted any candy.

Chinook Park rallied and we ended up over 50, new high water mark since we moved in. Lots of new families with kids moving in as the older folks move out.

69 here in Ranchlands. Called it at 68 with last ones at 9:10 but then at 9:37 doorbell rings and lady with a stroller with a baby passed out cold in it in bear costume says "I'm doing it for him, he's sleeping, so I'm doing it for him. That's why I'm trick or treating".
Ok then.

Went out for 2 hours with my kid and only saw one other kiddo the entire time.
By 8:30, everything was dark and people gave up.
