Well, it will be nice to see Grant and what he is all about. I know next to nothing about him.

I just have to ask - when does Arnold get his shot? Grant must have been more deserving, so I won't pout about it at all. I just really want Arnold to get a good look. I think he is going to be a legit NHL'er with his IQ and sound 200ft game, and think he will be able to contribute offensively as a depth forward/center.

Feel bad for Ferland. Hopefully he isn't out too long.

We have 2 extra forward, an extra D. We should have a 3rd goalie as well.

Surprised Grant got the call up. Agostino has started the season the way he left off last season.

Now Adirondack will have three goalies. The two already there look fairly promising as well. Tough business.

Didn't I hear that Brodie would also be making the trip, and that the team expects he will be back before they return to Calgary? If so, can he travel with the team even though he is not yet off of IR?

Yes he can travel with the team even though he is not yet off of IR.

For example, Smid has been travelling with team for a while now while still on IR.

Since the Flames are at 23, they have to make a roster move before they can activate Brodie off IR and play him in a game.

Default Flames call up Derek Grant

I would assume they would just send Nakladal back to the AHL to activate Brodie?

Is there any word on whether or not Ferland travelled with the team? That would be a pretty good indication of how serious his injury is.

I'd take Bollig over Raymond, especially if Engelland is out

Yeah, but he was either on the plane with the team or not. They shouldn't need an update from the team to know that much.

If those are the three players being considered for the pressbox, then the stars must be aligned!

In terms of a call up, I'd like to have seen Hathaway get the promotion. His game is similar to Ferland and would slot in better on the left wing. Less moving guys out of their preferred positions.

Grant or any call-up for that matter is not coming in to take Ferlands spot. More than likely he or whoever sits in pressbox. If he does get playing time it will be 4th line.

Yep. If Ferland is out, Bollig is in.
Edit: Bollig & Grant in. On one hand I'm pleasantly surprised. On the other, Bollig.
